Everyday I try to think of something for me and Austin to do outside of the house. Since this weekend is the 4th I wanted to do something patriotic. I remembered that soldiers coming home for a little R&R always come through DFW to catch their connecting flight. So, we picked up Grandpa on the way to the airport to greet the soldiers!! I have to say that this was one of the best things I have ever done! It was so nice to shake the hand of someone who is fighting a war for us. They all were so nice and seemed very grateful that we were there cheering them on. There was this one women there who just had a baby and was picking up the new daddy. OMG! It was so awesome to see the reunion. It really put tears in my eyes and everyone around! One of the soldiers took her time to shake everyone hand and she even talked to Austin for a minute. He of course took the time to introduce her to Lightning McQueen. Austin even shook the hand of two gentlemen. They were verynice. I will most definitely be doing this again before I go back to work.
