Addison is 3 months old!! I cannot believe how fast this time has gone!! She is growing like a weed! She is eating cereal and almost 6 oz a feeding. I can't wait till we start baby food! I have a feeling she will love it!

The kids started school this week. Austin really missed it! I can tell a huge difference in him when he is in school and out of school. His behavior is better and he tends to speak better after being in school. He is very protective with his little sister. On Monday when I was leaving he had already gotten in trouble for talking throwing a fit when the teacher told him he couldn't visit his sister. Yesterday, Austin was going to the restroom in his classroom. His restroom is right next to the infant room. He came running out of the bathroom with his pants around his ankles screaming, "MY BABY IS CRYING!" That is so funny!!

I made a little video with the pictures of Addison from when she was born. The beginning is a little fast but I needed to make it that way so certain pictures were showing when parts of the song was on. The song is called , "Cinderella" by Steven Curtis Chapman. I have to say I really love it!! From what I understand he wrote it because his first daughter grew up to fast and so he wrote it for his second daughter.

Austin loves his cars! We took all of them out today and sorted them. I did most of the work and he helped! He has a total of 86 cars. We are missing two. He wanted to leave them out in the middle of the floor so everyone can see them. Below is the video of him naming all the ones he knows which is almost all of them.

You may have noticed I have posted a lot of videos. There are two reasons for that. 1} Austin loves to video tape himself and watch it on TV 2} I am just getting around to playing with my Flip Camera that I got for Christmas. Its real fun!!

I did a little question and answer thing with Austin today. I thought it was pretty funny. He has great facial expressions. It is about 5 minutes long. Towards the end he tells a great story about the tornado in Caroline's backyard. I did the same questions about a hour later and he had a couple different answers but mostly the same.

4th of July Weekend

The fourth of July Weekend was really fun! On Saturday, we had our families over to watch the fireworks that our neighborhood puts on. Austin loves watching the fireworks with Caroline. Anytime throughout the year if he sees fireworks he always brings up that he watches fireworks with Caroline.

In the morning we went over to Grandma and Grandpa's and played in the sprinklers with Caroline and Alayna.

Sunday night we watched fireworks with the Boards. Austin had a lot of fun! Addison slept through the fireworks but next year she will enjoy them. :)

Two Months

Im a little late but Addison is two months old now!! She is getting so big! She know weighs 11 lbs. 8 oz and is 22 inches long. Big girl!
Addison is starting baby talk and laugh. We get a lot of smiles too! She really enjoys smiling at her big brother. Austin loves to talk to her while I change her diaper.

I was watching Napoleon Dynamite today and the dance scene came on. Austin started dancing to it. It was HILARIOUS!!! I had to get the camera out and video him. He has some skills I tell you! At one point in the video he does the splits! Did not know he could do that! Im glad I signed him up for tumbling!!

Swimming Lessons

Austin had swimming lessons the past two weeks. He did a great job! He did not like life jacket day. He had a hard time leaning his body the correct way. He kept leaning forward which made him go face first in the water which was really scary for him. Here is a video of some of the activities they did on Friday. His teacher, Mr. Chris (in the white glasses) took him down the slide twice. Before class I told him he was going to do that and Austin said it wasn't a good idea. But, he really enjoyed it and talked about the slide all day. I am hoping to take him swimming a couple more times this summer but need someone to watch the little one. Any volunteers?? :)

It is the only the beginning of June and it is already hitting 100 degrees! It is just hot! We have a sprinkler to play in but Austin wanted to swim. Well, it is hard to swim with a newborn and a three year old all by myself and I really don't want to do that with Addison. We don't have a little pool this year because whenever I buy them Austin never swims in it. So, yesterday when he wanted to swim I remembered a couple years ago I filled up his little truck with water to make a little water table. I was sitting next to an empty storage bucket and thought of just filling that up. Well, Austin loved it and ended up sitting inside of it and playing. It was really funny! He has already asked to swim in the bucket today!

The big event this summer is Cars 2 is coming out soon! Austin is very excited! A couple weeks ago Lightning McQueen, Mater and Finn McMissle came to a mall in Dallas. So I piled everyone in the car expecting to go to the mall and walk up to the cars, take a couple pictures, and then walk around the mall. I was completely wrong!!! First of all the mall was in Dallas about an hour away. Second when we finally got there there was a line about 2 miles long or a 2 hour wait to stand in front of the cars (not able to touch them) and then leave. To make thing worse is it was outside in the 95 degree weather. BUT, it was all worth it when Austin got up there! He was so excited! He was great standing in the line, he didn't even complain once about being hot or being bored. I was the one really worried about him and the four week old in the stroller! By the time we got to see the cars I was ready to go!

So having a boy first and then a girl is very dangerous!! I loved putting Austin in cute outfits but there is something different about dressing up a little girl. So, I found myself taking pictures of Addison whenever I put her in a cute outfit. I know that is stupid but I don't care because I am having fun!

One Month!

Addison is one month old! This past month has gone by so fast! She is a wonderful addition to the family. Austin continues to be a huge help. In the beginning she was feeding about every 3 hours during the day and night. Now, she can go about 5-6 hours a night. Sometimes it is less or sometimes it is more. I really just depends on the activities the day before. When she turned 6 weeks old I thought that maybe it was time to move her to her crib in her own room. She slept great the first night in the room but that turned and she just wouldn't sleep. So, last night I put her back in the pack in play in my room and she slept 8 hours last night!!!! That was the first 8 hours sleep I had in a month! It felt great! So, she will be sleeping in our room for a little longer. She is doing a great job at holding her head up. She has been doing this since she was about 2 or 3 weeks old. She is a very strong girl. She is also all over the place. When I put her on the floor and then leave I come back and she is moved her self to face another way.

Well, I thought I was going to do better at this blog thing! I was wrong! Then Little Addison came into our lives and took all my extra time.

We went in on the 27th for an induction. I was starting at a 0 so I knew it was going to be a long day. Labor wasn't to great but that is probably why they call it labor. I went longer than the last time without an epidural because I wanted to feel the contractions and because I was kinda nervous about getting the epi since the last time I had to get poked 3 times before they got it. Well, this time the lucky number of sticks was 7!!! Yes, 7 times. They had to give me some relaxation drugs and do a sonogram of my back to get it into the right spot. I call it the relaxation drug because right when that stuff got into my system I was out! I actually woke myself up from snoring!! As that drug wore off I noticed I could feel the contractions in my left side. It wasn't a pleasant feeling. The nurse checked me at 7 and I was still a 3. I was getting nervous that I was going to end up with a c-section. At around 9 I started to feel a lot a pressure and I was complete! I went from a 3 to fully dilated in about 2 1/2 hours. That didn't feel very pleasant either. :)

Addison Lee Follett was born on April 27, 2011 at 9:42 pm! She came into this world screaming and she screamed for about a 45 minutes! She weighted about 7 lbs 6oz . Unfortunately, we are not really positive about it because we have three different weights. He length was also a little off. She was about 21 inches long at the hospital but three days later at the Dr she was 19. So who knows! All I know and care about is that she is healthy and perfect!

Big Brother Austin absolutely is in love with his baby sister! Every morning he has to give her a hug and a kiss. He loves to say, "Hello Pretty Girl". When we go out he like to point her out to people too. He is a huge help! He will bring me a diaper if I ask for it and will always look for her paci if she is crying. He holds her daily but only for a minute.

Our child walks in from school everyday and takes off his shoes and socks. Then he proceeds to take off his pants. He does not like to wear pants at all! Today was no different than any other day. He took his pants off and started playing. I needed to comb the fur ball so I went outside in the backyard. He wanted to come with me so I told him to go get his sandals. We ended up enjoying the night outside, playing with the dog, brushing him, running around, and we even ended up eating outside. It was fun! We did all of this with him wearing a shirt, underwear and sandals. It looked quite funny! So, I will defiantly have to keep these two pictures for his rehearsal dinner slide show. HAHA! He wanted me to take the picture of him looking up to the sky. While I was taking it he even was saying "cheese!!"

New Year and fresh start!

It is a new year and I am going to try to keep this blog updated!! I decided to make the background springy because of the four days of winter we just finished! I love cold and snow but I sure was getting tired of being stuck in the house. Normally, I would be outside playing but it was mostly ice on the ground so I didn't feel safe walking around on it with little Addison in my belly! On Friday, we did get some snow so I was able to throw a couple snowballs at the dog. Austin is not a winter person. He wanted to go outside and play so we got dressed and walked outside. He immediately didn't want snow on his shoes and wanted to go inside and have hot chocolate.

Here is Austin walking onto the snow(ice). He had to wear my gloves because I couldn't find his pair. I need to get some winter stuff next season.

We were stuck in the house for four days. We had to figure out things to do. So, we colored, played playdoh, danced, played race cars, played train track, made faces, watched movies, took naps, and made pancakes. Luckily, Caroline and Alayna came over one day and played.

I cannot believe my little guy is three years old!! He is getting so big! We had a wonderful birthday party with a bunch of friends and family. He got so many nice presents! Austin loves Cars and trains and that is what he got! He also got a tent which is in the middle of our living room right now. He calls it his "sport" which is fort.

Our house is shrinking! We have no place to put anything! I don't know where we are going to put the new baby! I guess he or she will have to stay in the kitchen or something! HAHA! Just Kidding! We will find a place!

Our annual birthday picture with the stuffed monkey didn't happen this year because he is still scared of stuffed animals. Hopefully he will get over that soon!

Mr. Fixit

This is Mr. Fixit! This past week my engine light came on in my car so I couldn't drive. Austin asked why we weren't going any place so I told him my car was broken. All day he insisted on fixing Mommy's car. So, he got his hard hat on and his tools and headed outside. I was just going to let him play with his tool around my car but he asked me to put the hood up so he could see the engine. He looked for things that looked liked screws and used Phelipe.Then he hit some "engine" with Pat the hammer.

Mommy's Car is fixed!!!

Funny thing is, I took the car for a spin after he "fixed it" and the engine light turned off!

Friday Fun

Today we went to the Fort Worth Science Museum with our friends Karley and Kolton. Austin had a pretty good time because of the trains. Other then that he really didn't want to do anything else. This kid loves trains, train tracks and cars. We spent 25 dollars to play with trains. I think I could have bought a set for that much at the store! The kids really enjoyed the water fountain outside of the museum. (That is free!!) We were leaving so Kolton and Austin had a blast and were completley soaked!!! Luckly, I had blankets and extra clothes in my car.

Welcome Home

Everyday I try to think of something for me and Austin to do outside of the house. Since this weekend is the 4th I wanted to do something patriotic. I remembered that soldiers coming home for a little R&R always come through DFW to catch their connecting flight. So, we picked up Grandpa on the way to the airport to greet the soldiers!! I have to say that this was one of the best things I have ever done! It was so nice to shake the hand of someone who is fighting a war for us. They all were so nice and seemed very grateful that we were there cheering them on. There was this one women there who just had a baby and was picking up the new daddy. OMG! It was so awesome to see the reunion. It really put tears in my eyes and everyone around! One of the soldiers took her time to shake everyone hand and she even talked to Austin for a minute. He of course took the time to introduce her to Lightning McQueen. Austin even shook the hand of two gentlemen. They were very

nice. I will most definitely be doing this again before I go back to work.

Blueberry Muffins

Austin and I made blueberry muffins this morning. Apparently, he loves to cook. First, he ran and got his step stool. Then he poured the milk into the bowl.

Then he stirred the mixture.He was so excited to cook. When the oven buzzed he screams, 'MY MUFFINS!!" and started to run around the house.

Austin really loves Scooter! Every night, Austin feeds Scooter dinner. I really need to get a video of what he does. After he fills up the bowl he walks inside and says, Scooter, dinner! Then stand by the bowl until Scooters starts to eat. He gets this huge grin on his face when he finally starts to eat. We have also started taking him a walks and brushing him. Chore List here we come!!

Swimin Pool

Austin loves to play in water so I went ahead and bought a little pool for him to play in. Unfortunately, after I set it up I noticed there was a whole in the bottom. So, I let him play in it but returned it the next day. I didn't buy another one so we will just spend the cash and go to the water park.

Austin and I went to the park the other day. He rode his bike all the way there. We are learning to stop at the end of the sidewalk and watching for cars. He is getting really good at stopping whenever he sees a moving car. The park is a half a mile away and he does a great job riding there but we always have a problem coming back! I always end up carrying him and his bike back on the way home. Such a work out!!! Here are a couple pictures from the park!

We started the summer off with swimming with Caroline and Aunt Kimberly! I was hoping that Austin would remember everything he learned last year in swim lessons but I was wrong. He didn't not like it at first! BUT, it was nothing that a hot dog could not handle. He had a hot dog and then absolutely loved swimming. He was jumping off the side of the pool and going under water. We have swam a couple times since and he was on and off about liking it. I guess it just depends on the day. We will continue to swim this summer at least twice a week. If anyone wants to join us let me know!

Schools out for Summer!

Well, summer has official started!! Austin is going to school everyday till next week because I have a couple trainings I have to do and I kind of want to get my new room a little organized. He is also going to go to school a couple times this summer just to spend some time with his friends.

We started our summer off right by going to the library and signing up for the reading club! He was so excited to look at the books and sit down to read. I love that he loves to read!

I know it has been awhile since I last blogged. My camera needs a battery so there isn't any good pictures except for ones I take with my phone. And, we havent done much!! Don't worry! That will change very soon! Summer vacation starts in three weeks!!!! I am planning a whole lot of activities for us this summer including:

petting zoo
indoor playyards
swimming
potty training
and much much more!!

I found Austin sleeping with his hard hat on the other day. He is really funny! If you notice; his paci is next to him. Those are no longer!!! They broke and he had to throw them away. He only cried for it once night and he was fine after that.

Easter Party

I was lucky enough to get off early on Friday to be able to attend Austin's school Easter Party!! He was so excited that I was there. First, we had our party foods. The only think he ate was the goldfish and cookie. Then we went outside to get ready for the egg hunt. He did a great job with listening to his teacher while I was there. A lot of times kids don't follow class rules because of the parents being there.

Zoo

Austin and I went to the zoo today. Although it was fun I will Never go back again during spring break! The line to get into the zoo was stopped up on the highway. Then all the parking was full including the overflow parking. So I parked BEHIND the zoo and walked all the way around to the front. At least I didn't have to pay for parking and I really got my workout on. The first time Austin went to the zoo he wasn't to into it. This time he had a great time! I think his favorite part of the zoo were the elephants. He does a great elephant impression! He also liked watching to Otters. They were very cute, chasing each other and playing. I didn't get many pictures because it was just me and him so they wouldn't turn out very good. Here is the video of Austin looking at the elephants. My accomplishment

In January I start a program called Couch to 5k. It is a program that gets you prepared to run a 5k. I ended the program in March and ran my first 5k on Saturday! I ran the three miles in 36 mins and only walking for at the most 5 minutes! Im so proud of myself and can't wait to run another one! I ran it with a coworker , well I say I ran it with her but she took off and ran it in 28 minutes.

Fort Worth Science Museum

I had President's Day off so we got into the car with Grandpa and went to the newly redone Science museum in Fort Worth. They opened a new children's area that wanted to check out with Austin. We meet Aunt Kimberly, Caroline, and Alayna there too!

We first went into the dinosaur area! He wasn't to sure about the huge dinosaur skeleton that was in the middle. I thought it was pretty cool! There is also a molding of a footprint that kids can sit in. Austin wouldn't do it until Alayna did it. Once he saw that baby Alayna could do it he was all for sitting in the footprint.

Then we went into the children's area and it wasn't very long until Austin spotted the trains! He was in the train section for most of the time. I had to take the train away from him and carry him away from it do other things!When I got him away from the trains we went into the grocery store section. That is where you shop for food and then check it out.

Then it was back to the trains for awhile. Kimberly and Dad had a great time too!!!

A Snowy Day!

Record snow in Ft. Worth!!! We had about 10 inches of snow in one day!! I cannot believe it! It all started on Thursday. We had school and had to watch the snow through the window. The district actually canceled school for Friday on Thursday night! This is shocking for our district! They normally don't call school till almost 7 in the morning when I am half way there! I have so many pictures I don't even know where to start! I tried to get Austin out in the snow many times but he just doesn't like it! I think he doesn't like the wet cold feeling. He stayed in the garage or under the porch while I played! Thursday night Steven and I went outside together and played shoveled the snow and threw a couple snowballs around. It was really fun. On Friday, Daddy did get him to pick up some snow and throw a couple snowballs.

It has been a very busy beginning of the year for us! Austin is talking so much and is trying to get away with everything! He is going to be a little handful this year! A couple mornings ago he woke up at 4:30 and instead of crying or screaming he yelled, Cock- a-doodle-doo! Time to wake up!!! It was so funny to hear but would have been funnier if it wasn't 4:30!! While putting away the Christmas boxes Steven found his old Hot Wheels. We decided to let Austin play with them only when we were watching him. I didn't know Hot Wheels could be a babysitter!! Austin played with them for two hours straight ! I probably could have taken a nap!

He loves to line them up in a row. Then take the front car and move him to the back row. I really would love to know what he is thinking when playing with them.

As most of you guys know, he loves the Imagination Movers. Well, he has a new love now. Elmo, Trains, and CARS! He loves the movie CARS! Papa has given him the hot wheel like car of Lightning McQueen, Doc and Mater. He loves those cars! He takes them everywhere. It is really hard to keep up with them because they could be anywhere in our house! I wanted to share a picture of what Austin looks like while watching the movie Cars. A few weeks ago it was just me and Austin at home and I wanted to take a shower. So, I put the movie and and took a shower. I came out of the shower and found Austin like this!

Christmas Eve!

Yes, it was snowing!!!! It was so beautiful!! Austin loved pointing out the snow and talking about it but didn't really like being out there. I think we were outside for 5 minutes and he was ready to go inside.

Choo-Choo

Last Saturday Austin and I went to a Choo-Choo Party! We had so much fun. Austin just loves trains now! There was a bunch of crafts that we could do but Austin choose to play with the trains and stroller all night. So, I did a lot of the craft and had fun doing them! I did get him to stop playing trains for a while to frost a train cake.

We also made a train out of a box. We named it "Austin Express"

Six Flags!

Saturday we went to Six Flags for Bell's Holiday party. I was kinda worried that Austin would have fun because he doesn't like rides, stuffed animals, people in animal costumes, or even Santa. I was pleasantly surprised!! We went on the Merry Go Round, the truck train in the kids section, the train that goes around the park, a boat and yes, the Mini- Mine Train Roller Coaster!!

Austin has really started liking trains. Since we are so blessed in having one that is by our house(sarcasm!) he sees them all the time. At Six Flags he thought all of the roller coasters were Choo-choos! So, the Titan is a choo-choo! Does that make you want to go on it?? Not me! He really enjoyed himself and we loved watching him see new things. We will defiantly have to go back!

Riding the Mini Mine Train was fun. When we first got in line Austin was yelling, CHOO-CHOO and he was so excited to go on it. Well, it took off without it and he wasn't very happy at all! He scream until it came back and it was our turn! I have to say, I haven't been on that ride in more than 10 years! I think they redid the cars and made them smaller because those seats are snug!

We went to ICE at the Gaylord on Thanksgiving with Nana and Papa! Mommy was really excited to go! Austin wasn't to sure about the whole thing. At first he was ok but I think the noises and the people go to him. He also did not like the Grinch! He cried the whole time!

I thought that it was really neat to look at! It was about 9 degrees in there so it was pretty cold. They also have an ice slide! I really wanted to go down it with Austin but only let one person go at a time and he wouldnt go down. I went down the slide though! It was cool!

We moved Austin into a big boy bed this weekend! He is doing pretty good! The only issue that we are having is we had to start the paci again. I think he had to much change at once! We are starting a new nightly routine that will help him get comfortable in his new bed.

After we get our PJs on and brush our teeth we get into bed and read two or three books together. After that it is lights out and we are not allowed to get out of bed unless Mommy or Daddy are there with him. I think it is working because he stays in his bed calling for us every morning. Hopefully it will stay that way!!

After Austin's birthday party we went over to Grandma and Grandpa's house with The Cook Family.. Austin and Caroline had a great time running around the house screaming. Then we all went trick or treating together. Austin did a great job and wasn't afraid to go up to the door with cousin Caroline. He even said Thank you a couple times and tried to say trick or treat. Austin is officially two years old!! I just can't believe how fast the past two years have gone! Austin weighs in at 32 lbs and is 34 inches tall. SO, he is a big boy!! As many of you guys know I took a picture of Austin with a stuffed monkey every month of his first year. I am going to try to continue with this tradition until he make me stop. My hope is that he will love his mommy so much he will do it just to please me!! (HAHA!) The problem we have this year is that Austin is scared of any stuffed animal right now. We had Austin's 2nd Birthday party over the weekend! I have to say it was a huge success!! It was so much fun. We had a bunch of family, friends, cow, donkeys, and pumpkins join in the fun! Oh, I also forgot to add corn in that list The party was at Halls Pumpkin Farm. Everyone got to feed cows and donkeys then we went into a corn maze. We were in there for awhile. Some people got out of there pretty fast but we were stuck in it for what seems like 45 minutes! Austin got some great gifts and had a blast. Thank you all for coming to help celebrate Austin's Birthday!

The first day of fall felt like fall! It was so nice outside. We spent about two hours outside,playing riding our Harley Bike, and throwing the baseball around with Daddy. Austin looks so big these days! He weights 30 lbs and is 34 1/2 inches tall. So big!

Steven and I had our 10 year class reunion over the weekend! Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa for watching Austin on short notice so we could go!! It was a lot of fun! We got to see people we haven't seen or spoke to in a long time. I even think we are going to get together with some of them in the future. I cannot believe it has been 10 years since high school! I feel so old!
I was telling Steven it is nice to have a husband that went to school with me so we only have to go to one reunion and not have to worry about each other not knowing anyone!

Last week we went and met the Austin Cook Family! That would be my Aunt Cindy, Uncle Jeff, Alison, and Adam! It was so nice to see them. Austin isn't anywhere close to being potty trained but he knows you got pee and poo in it. The other day he was scooting close to it and saying potty. So I took his diaper off and we sat there for awhile. He didn't do anything but he still liked to sit on it.

We took Austin to his first Ranger game last week!!! Uncle John was able to get really good seats so, Uncle John, Aunt Kimberly, Caroline, Me, Daddy, Austin, and Grandpa all piled in the Acadia and drove to the game! It was very tight!! Austin was comfortable sitting in his seat watching Cars on the Tv hanging from the roof. We need to get one of those in the next vehicle!!

Austin couldn't wait to go into the stadium. He kept pointing and screaming, Hey!! He heard the music and started to dance! When we got down to our seats he just started and looked around at everything going on! He is small enough to sit on our laps so we didn't have to buy him a seat. Next time, he is getting a seat!!! Luckily, Uncle John spoke to a friend that was up in a suite and they asked us to come on up!!! That was really nice! Austin and Caroline had room to walk around and watch the game. We really enjoyed it and can't wait till we do something else with the Cooks!

We were lucky to attend the game that Pudge was playing for the first time in!!! The crowd went crazy every time he came out to hit.

Today we were sitting outside playing in the sandbox when Austin saw the " mow" (Lawn mower) . At that time Steven decided to quickly mow our backyard. Once Daddy starting mowing Austin ran to his mow and just started to follow him. I did not say anything to Austin about getting his mower. It was the cutest thing ever!!!

**Note** Austin does not have shoes on. I know, Dangerous! He never is outside without his shoes on but he was playing in his sand so we took them off. Also, he never is outside when Steven is mowing. So, to those that are freaking out that the mower was going and he had no shoes on , this wasn't planned and normally he has shoes on.

The weekend before we left we took Austin to the zoo! It was fun. He was scared at the monkeys at first but warmed up to them. There was this one monkey playing in a potato sack. He was literally getting into and swing from it. It was really funny. I think his favorite animal at the zoo was the penguin. One particular penguin was swimming all around Austin. It times it looked like the penguin was playing around with him. I can't wait to take him again! I think I am going to wait a couple months so he is bigger and when it is COOLER!!!!

It has been awhile since I have updated! Sorry! We haven't really done a lot of fun and interesting things so there is nothing to show. I say we haven't done anything but we have done somethings. Of course, we have gone swimming a couple of times with our friends Karley and Kolton. We even got Aunt Kimberly and Caroline to go swimming with us!! Other than swimming we have just spent a lot of time at home playing in the backyard. Austin loves being outside!! I think we spend about an hour or two every night playing.

We have a worm he can ride on but it is really hard to ride in the grass. SO, Steven attached a rope to it and we pull him around. He thinks it is so much fun!

Austin is also starting to train to become the next Ultimate Fighter...

We had a busy weekend! On Friday, we had my family over for a surprise retirement party for my dad! Then after that Steven and I spent a couple bucks to have a fireworks display in my neighborhood for him. Austin had a great time having people over at his house and sharing all of his toys with his cousins. I have to say it is very relaxing having family get together here because I don't have to worry about what Austin is getting into! We had a lot of fun blowing bubbles and bowling. Grandma bought over a little bowling set. Austin would throw the bowling ball and the body bowl the rest of the pins down. It was so funny. I really wish I got it on video.

We went over to Kristen's house on Wednesday for a Beach Party. Karley,Kolton, Julianna, and Olivia were there. I work with their Mommies! It was really fun! We ate lunch out of pails and then swam, played with toys , and ate some more! (Even if it wasn't our food, AUSTIN!!) Austin seemed to like the chicken off of Karley's plate even though he had chicken on his plate.

Swimming was really fun! Austin loved going down the slide into the pool.

We can't wait till we play again!

Sorry it has been a week since updating the blog. We have been so busy with swiming lessons, parties,playdates, and playing around the house!!

This past weekend we had two birthday parties! Sam turned 2 and Kotlon turned 3!! Saturday was Sam's party. It was a golf party. Austin enjoyed hitting thing (Not the ball) with his golf club.

Sam got a cool golf cart for his birthday that Austin loved! I think if I let him he would have stayed in it the whole party!

Kolton's Birtday was at Bedford Splash. We got to use our skills that we have been learning in swim lessons! Austin officially loves the pool! We were there for two hours and in the water for 90% of the time! If we weren't in the water Austin was playing in a puddle or running towards the water. If I wasn't watching him he would have ran right in!! (Very Scary!!)

Day 3 of our summer

Today was a busy day! It was the third day of swimming lessons. Austin did great! The last two days he has been scared and holding on tight to me. Today he was kicking his feet, blowing bubbles and he even was jumping off the side of the pool!!! I am very proud of him. Hopefully, he will continue to enjoy swimming. After lessons we went to Chick-Fil-La with Kristen,Kolten, and Karley. Austin liked having someone to run around with. For some reason he liked rolling around on the ground. We are looking forward to doing more things with them!!

I am so excited about being at home this summer. Austin is so much fun! Today was a big day. Austin and I started our swimming lessons together. Well, it didn't go so well. Austin was the screamer and wouldn't let go of me. I am hoping he will get use to it and by next Friday he will be a pro! No picture because well, I am in the water with him! HAHA

After swim lessons we came home and had lunch then headed for a nap. No, I didn't take one (darnit) I mopped the floor.! After Austin woke up we colored the letter A and then danced and sung songs. We had a lot of fun..

I was putting laundry into the dryer and I heard him behind me. I guess I left the pantry door open and the next thing I know it I turned the corner to the living room and found this! Luckily I had the camera in the kitchen!

Relay For Life

Relay was a week ago. This year it was at a huge soccer field. When Austin arrived and got out of his stroller it took him a few seconds to understand that he was in this huge field to run around in. Once he realized it he was off! He had so much fun running, screaming, and running some more. He also liked to run and then just fall to the ground.

Austin also decided to redesign the walking path.

I was very proud of him. He walk two laps!!! It took awhile but he did it!!!

I wanted to thank everyone for their donations! I know all of us have been effected by cancer. I hope that one day with all the help we have giving the ACS we will have a cure!!! Thanks again!!

New Addition!

Alayna was born on Thursday, April 23!! We went over to the Cook's house the other day to bring them dinner and see Alayna. I really think she likes her Aunt Laura! She always has her eyes open when I hold her. It is probably because I sing her favorite song to her. Austin kinda ignored the little person Mommy was holding. He really just wanted to go outside and play on the playground!
Austin and Caroline had a great time playing outside together. It seems like they are starting to enjoy playing with each other.

Austin and I went over to Aunt Kimberly and Uncle John's house the other day to take care of Wyatt. Austin saw Caroline's playground and wanted to play! He is a boy!! He climbed (almost) all the way up and went straight down the slide alone! I think he did this about 12 times then I had to carry him away screaming because it was time to go home. He loved the slide!

He also took good care of Wyatt! He gave him his Wyatt Treat!

Easter weekend was a busy one for us! Saturday, we went up to Sherman for Steven's cousins wedding. The wedding was outside by a little pond. Austin wanted to go into the water. I bet the wedding was beautiful but I wouldn't know because Austin decided to through his huge fit! I had to walk around to the other side of the building to make sure he was interrupting. He was a lot better once we got inside to the reception with food and music.

The Easter Bunny visited our house Sunday morning! He hid Austin's basket behind the chair, silly bunny. Austin got some snacks and a new book in his basket. He wasn't to sure about what was going on. The Easter bunny also visited Grandma and Grandpa's house and Nana and Papa's house! He was a busy little bunny! Austin slept through the first egg hunt but had one over at Nana and Papa's. He didn't know what to do with the eggs at first but finally got the hang of it!

By the end of the day we were all pretty tired!

Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday we went to the Easter Egg Hunt in Saginaw. Austin had a great time. Before the hunt, he kept running towards the eggs screaming. But, when the fire horn went off he just looked around. It was a mad house! I think the eggs were gone in less than 2 minutes. It was fun to have Grandpa, Grandpa, Nana,Papa, and Aunt Kimberly and Caroline there. Uncle John was working the hunt because it was put on by the fire department.

When Austin saw the Easter Bunny he started waving at him. He walked up to him and just start talking to him. We tried to get a picture with Austin looking at the camera but he just wanted to look at the bunny. He then started to pet the bunny. It was cute!

Big day on Monday

We had a pretty big day on Monday. Austin had his cardiologist appointment and his 15 month appoitment. I have to say we were waited longer for the doctors than the time we saw each doctor.

The cardiologist said Austin looks and sounds great. She doesn't hear anything new and is pleased! We go back in six months for another check up. Hopefully we can start doing once a year after that. Austin didn't like all the wires and sticky things on him. W e could take his blood pressure because he was so upset. I have to say Mommy didn't like it either!!!! It is Daddy's turn next time!!!!

At his 15 month appointment we found out that he still has an ear infection in his ear that had the ruptured eardrum and he has an infection in the other! I think it is from all the congestion he has!

Austin got to stand on the big boy scale to weigh him. At first he didn't know what it was but then he realized it was moving and loved it. He weights about 26 lbs and is 32 inches! He is in the 75 percentile!

I have pretty much determined that Austin is a smart cookie! When he has dirty pants and I tell him we are going to change his pants he walks into his room and stands by the dresser, where his changing table it. The past couple of days I have told him it was time to go to bed, he walks into his room and stands by his bed! I wonder how long that is going to last! He says, car now and points to his eyes and says "eye". He also know an "A" says /a/. I have so many new pictures to show but I don't want to put them all on here. So, I guess I will have to pick and choose! Here we go:

I found him playing with a container one on his head. It looks really funny. He started running around with it on too!

We went to the airport for the first time a couple weeks ago. He loved running around and following people. I think he wants to go on vacation!

Finally, it has been so nice outside! He loves to play outside so we took his truck out there and cruised around!

I really like this picture for some reason. It is kinda sad because the backyard is where Scooterpants is most of the time. But, it also shows how much Austin loves Scooter.

Ok, by demandhere it is! Two weeks ago was the hundredth day of school. All the first grade teachers decided to "be absent" that day and send in our one hundred year old grandmas to sub for the day. They have done this in the past but I have refused to do it. I really hate dressing up. This year I decided to be a team player and did it.! I have to admit it was pretty fun. I played dumb and called the computers the picture box, bathrooms the outhouses, I fell asleep reading, I chose one girl in the class and kept asking her her name. That was really funny. The kids were going back and forth wither it was me or not. Some of them believe it was really my grandma but other didn;t. They are so smart, a couple asked why all the other first grade teachers sent their grandmas.

Scooter really likes it when Austin is eating around him. I caught Austin feeding him Cheerios today. Austin would laugh hysterically when Scoots would take the Cheerio out of his hand. I couldn't get that on video but I did get Austin teasing Scoots with food.
